Village explores replacing water mains alongside DOT roadwork, could get up to 55% SDWA funding

Steve Klicko and Gene Churchill said Davy Engineering has prepared paperwork to apply for loan and grant assistance under the Safe Drinking Water Act; the Village has been informed it could be eligible for up to 55% of the project cost if plans are completed by the end of June.
Trustees asked staff to discuss the project further with engineering firm MSA and to return with firm cost estimates and schedules. No formal commitment to proceed was made at the meeting; the board emphasized timing is critical to align with DOT work and grant-application deadlines.
