Bosqueville ISD selected for TEA safety and security assessment on Aug. 25

Bosqueville ISD trustees heard an update Aug. 16 that the Texas Education Agency will begin conducting District Vulnerability Assessment (DVA) safety and security visits to selected school districts every four years starting with the 2024–25 school year. Mr. Skeeler reviewed the DVA program and informed the board that "Bosqueville ISD has been selected and will have a visit on August 25, 2024."
Heather Wheeler of ESC Region 12 will assist district staff in preparing for the visit, Mr. Skeeler said. The presentation described the DVA as a comprehensive safety and security review; the minutes do not detail the specific assessment activities or findings, only the schedule and the assigned local assistance. District staff are expected to work with the ESC representative to prepare documentation and site access ahead of the visit.
