Bonham ISD honors paraprofessionals, long-serving teacher and students of the month
Summary
Carley Fowler introduced paraprofessional Lindsay McCraw and other staff and recognized multiple students of the month across campuses, highlighting service, leadership and extracurricular achievements.
At the start of the meeting, the board recognized support staff and students across district campuses.
"My name is Carley Fowler, and I am honored to, introduce you to our paraprofessional... This is miss Lindsay McCraw," Carley Fowler said, describing McCraw’s library work, PTO leadership and willingness to cover classes. The board also acknowledged a teacher with more than four decades of service and multiple students of the month across campuses, citing academic and extracurricular accomplishments.
Principals described honorees’ qualities — kindness, initiative, leadership and academic engagement — and family or background details for several students. The recognitions included shout-outs to athletes and clubs and a note that two students qualified for regional competition in fishing.
These recognitions were presented during the opening portion of the meeting and required no board action; they served as community acknowledgement of staff and student achievements.
