Carrizo Springs CISD board approves order calling joint election; motion carries 7-0

The Carrizo Springs Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously Sept. 3 to approve an order calling a General/Special Election to be held in a joint election with the County of Dimmit.
Trustee Al Doria moved to approve the order; Trustee Jeffrey Ortiz seconded. The motion carried 7-0. The board did not amend the order during the meeting.
In the same motion sequence the board approved a related agreement with Dimmit County to run the district election on November 5, 2024. Trustee Al Doria moved to approve the agreement and Trustee Jeffrey Ortiz seconded; the board approved the agreement 7-0.
Board President Albert Sosa opened and closed the agenda items as part of the special meeting convened at 6:04 PM in the Superintendent's Conference Room. No public comments were made on the agenda items.
