Canutillo ISD swears in two student advisors for 2024–25 school year

Jacob Lozano of Northwest Early College and Theodore Locklin of Canutillo High School were sworn in as the Canutillo ISD Board of Trustees' student advisors for the 2024–25 academic year during the board's Aug. 28 meeting.
Mrs. Christina Rodriguez introduced the students and provided a brief biography of each; "Mr. Rodriguez swore the Student Advisors into Office," according to the meeting minutes. The appointments were made during the opening portion of the regular meeting, which convened at 6:01 p.m. at the district administration office.
The student advisors also led the Pledge of Allegiance and the Texas Pledge at the start of the meeting. Their participation was recorded under the Board Honors section of the agenda and will be reflected in the official minutes presented to the board for approval on Dec. 17, 2024.
