The Canton ISD Board approved a resolution granting adjunct status to VZ County Extension Faculty for the 2024-25 school year and approved a separate resolution to grant extracurricular status to the 4-H organization in partnership with VZ County and Kaufman County Extension Agents. The adjunct-status resolution was moved by Clay Nicklas and seconded by Matt Dunn; both motions carried 5-0.
The actions allow county extension educators to hold adjunct instructional roles and recognize 4-H activities as extracurricular for the school year; the motions were entered in the official minutes as presented.
