Superintendent Dr. Brian Nichols presented the district's enrollment, attendance and preliminary property-value figures. Enrollment was presented as 2,319 in May 2024, 2,270 in May 2025 and 2,229 in May 2026; Average Daily Attendance rose from 95.48% (2024-25) to 95.69% (2025-26).
He reported preliminary property values of $1,421,525,839 for 2025 and $1,450,622,904 for 2026, "an increase of $29,097,065, approximately 2.05%." The superintendent also reviewed TRS ActiveCare premium changes for 2026-27 and noted the district contributes $300 per month toward employee health insurance premiums. The safety and security audit required under TEC 37.108(b) was conducted April 27-30, 2026 by Mrs. Sharron Carroll of Region 10; the audit cycle concludes August 31, 2026.
