Bryan ISD spotlights teachers, auxiliary staff and student achievements

At the March 23 meeting the board recognized teachers and auxiliary staff of the month across multiple campuses, honored a staff author and celebrated Bryan High's vocal accomplishment at the Varsity Vocals Competition.
The board opened its meeting with a series of recognitions honoring staff and students across the district. Truist Bank representative Alonso Robles presented gift cards to teachers and auxiliary employees of the month. Henderson Elementary Principal Daniela Garza-Ramirez introduced Teacher of the Month lleana Cisneros; Sam Houston Elementary Principal Mandy Wells introduced Teacher of the Month Sabrina Springer.
MC Harris Principal Dr. Karen Kasper introduced secondary Teacher of the Month Claire Hammack. Executive Director of Maintenance & Operations Patrick Corbett recognized Auxiliary Employee of the Month Jose "Joe" Gonzalez. SFA Principal Becky Luna recognized SFA teacher Erica Dugue for publishing Meet the Women of STEM, and Dr. Greg Bowhuis recognized Bryan High School's Vocal Legacy achievement at the Varsity Vocals Competition.
Superintendent Ginger Carrabine also shared broader student and staff celebrations in her report to the board. These items were presented as ceremonial recognitions and did not require board action.
