After recessing to executive session at 6:59 p.m., the board returned to open session at 7:37 p.m. and took several personnel actions. Trustees approved hiring Christy Hall, Briar Grimes and Jarrod Herrington as recommended by the superintendent; the motion was made by Brock Weatherford and seconded by Jathan Green and passed with six yeas and one absence.
The board then approved professional dual contracts and professional educator contracts for the 2026–2027 school year, and also approved Para‑Professional and Auxiliary Staff letters of assurance for 2026–2027. Those motions were made and seconded by trustees as recorded in the minutes and were approved by the same recorded tally (6–0, one absence). The transcript records the names of the hires and the vote tallies but does not include contract details, individual terms, or salary information in open session.
Because these actions followed executive session, the board took final action in public open session consistent with the Texas Open Meetings Act; the transcript records the votes in open session.
