Councilwoman Kern reports school events, upcoming college fair with 60 schools

Councilwoman Kern updated the council on Mainland Regional High School activities and the library’s event schedule, reporting a string of student and community events.
"Last week they held the annual Jazz Fest with bands from South Jersey, they held their annual job fair in March, and will host a college fair tomorrow with 60 schools," Kern said. She also noted prom is scheduled for June 6 and graduation for June 19, and that spring sports — lacrosse, tennis, golf, softball, baseball and track — have been successful this season.
Kern asked whether the police were addressing a resident’s email about a merchant on Tilton Road; Council President Bucci said it had been referred to the Police Department and Chief Pollak confirmed he had sent recommendations by email to Council previously.
