New Gladwin EDC director to tour downtown with MEDC on Feb. 10

Dusty Welsh, introduced to the board as Gladwin EDC director, told the Downtown Development Authority she intends to learn downtown goals and business needs and will attend DDA meetings as an informed guest.
Welsh said she is planning a business tour with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation on Feb. 10 to visit downtown enterprises and assess needs. "She wants to learn what the goals are for downtown and community needs," Welsh said during her introduction. Chairperson Jeff Zettel and other members discussed coordinating the tour and asked staff to add Welsh to the DDA email distribution list.
The board did not take formal action on the introduction; Welsh offered to support downtown projects and encouraged businesses to participate in upcoming surveys and grant opportunities.
