Council approves amendment to city manager’s contract after closed session

The Belen City Council entered executive session at 6:56 p.m. on May 18 under the Open Meetings Act provision for limited personnel matters (Section 10-15-1(H-2)) to discuss a proposed amendment to the city manager’s contract. The council returned to open session at 7:14 p.m. and immediately voted to approve the amendment.

Mayor Robert Noblin asked for a motion to approve the amendment; Councilor Frank F. Ortega moved to approve and Councilor Tracy Armijo seconded. The roll-call vote was unanimous — Councilors Rudy M. Espinoza, Frank F. Ortega, Steven L. Holdman and Tracy Armijo all voted yes and the motion carried.
