Board President Will Pinner opened the May 18 meeting with a construction update on the district's bond projects. District staff reported that exterior doors, an overhead door and related hardware have been installed, concrete work is being finished, and theater/gym lighting and basketball goals are in place.
Superintendent Dr. David Edison and staff said band hall acoustics work has started and track lighting has been installed in the art room. Interior door framing has begun, but staff flagged drainage issues between the new building and the agricultural building that will require further review and corrective work. The report did not include a dollar figure for addressing the drainage problem or an estimated completion date.
