The Carrizo Springs CISD Board of Trustees voted to approve the Design‑Build procurement method to be used to advertise a request for qualifications (RFQ) for a firm to design and implement district facility improvement projects. Trustee Michael Uriegas moved to send the item to executive session for further discussion; following executive session the board returned to open session and approved the procurement method. The open‑session motion was made by Michael Uriegas, seconded by Jeffrey Ortiz, and carried 7–0.
Earlier in the meeting, Mr. Bill Savarino of E3 Entergral Solutions (a partner of TASB) presented a facility improvement program used by other Texas districts. Superintendent Rose Pearson and Mr. Nick Martinez also briefed the board on bond matters in the superintendent briefing; the transcript records the procurement approval as a discrete board action but does not include contract award details or dollar figures.
