Christine Grossman, president of the local parade nonprofit, said the parade has nearly 96 registered units — well above typical turnout — and that the event will start at 4 p.m. with fireworks to conclude the evening. "We are right now at 96 units, which, normally, we are at about 65 7 units," Grossman said, explaining additional parking, shuttle bus loops, and staging plans designed to reduce downtown congestion. Organizers warned that militia reenactments and cannon firings will be coordinated so they do not occur during the parade route and urged patience from attendees.
Officials said county parking lots, a shuttle service, and coordination with towns will be used to move participants and spectators. Volunteers will wear red shirts and direct staging; event coordinators asked float drivers and large units to follow check‑in instructions to avoid congestion.
