Board sanctions 4‑H, renews several policies and handbooks
Summary

Trustees on Aug. 11 approved several policy and student‑life items that the district will implement in the coming school year.
The Board voted 6–0 to sanction 4‑H as an extracurricular activity; Jessica Cowden moved and Heath Mitchell seconded. The Board also approved library materials policy wording (EFB Local-Alt), the Student Code of Conduct and Cell Phone Policy FNCE (L), and adopted the Dyslexia Handbook as presented. The minutes attribute each approval to a motion and record unanimous votes.
These approvals update the district's student policies and extracurricular offerings for 2025–26; the minutes do not include the full text of each policy or handbook, so the district is responsible for publishing the adopted materials and notifying staff, students and families.
