The Brock ISD Board of Trustees voted 7-0 April 13 to approve teacher contracts for the 2026–27 school year. Vice President Shannon Hart made the motion to approve contracts; John McGuire seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
In a separate action the board approved a recommendation on payouts from the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA). Trustee Dr. Katarina Lindley moved that, for any funds received by Brock ISD for a designated teacher under TIA, 90 percent be paid to the designated teacher and the remaining 10 percent be used for training and system support, expansion, administrative expenses and professional development. The motion stated that if a designated teacher had resigned or retired, the district will forward payment to that teacher as soon as practicable. John McGuire seconded the motion and the board approved it 7-0.
Both actions were recorded under the business action portion of the agenda. The minutes reflect no amendments and no votes against either item. The board’s approvals enable staffing commitments for 2026–27 and implement the district’s distribution policy for TIA funds.
