The Brock ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously April 13 to approve an order authorizing the issuance of unlimited tax bonds, establish sale parameters, and authorize execution of a bond purchase agreement and escrow agreement. Trustee Lacy Kimball moved the measure; Secretary Tommy Hays seconded and the motion carried 7-0.
Board minutes show the approval included authorization to publish an official statement and enact other provisions relating to the bond sale. The board did not record a dissenting vote; trustees listed as voting in favor were Brunner, Hart, Farmer, Lindley and Kimball. The motion was taken as part of the business action portion of the agenda and followed presentations and staff reports earlier in the meeting.
The board did not specify the bond amount or sale date during the motion. The agenda item was recorded in the official minutes as “Order Authorizing the Issuance of Unlimited Tax Bonds, Establishing Sale Parameters, Authorizing the Execution of a Bond Purchase Agreement and an Escrow Agreement; Approving an Official Statement; and Enacting other Provisions Relating to the Subject.” The board’s vote authorizes staff and legal counsel to complete sale documents and proceed within the approved parameters.
No closed-session deliberations were reported in connection with the bond authorization; the board did not meet in closed session that evening and took no closed-session actions.
