Trustees call November 3 election, authorize county administrator agreement and join regional purchasing cooperative

Board approved an order calling a November 3, 2026 school board election for Places 1, 3 and 6, authorized an agreement with the San Augustine County Elections Administrator to conduct the election, and approved joining a regional purchasing cooperative.
The board voted unanimously to call a School Board Election for Nov. 3, 2026, to elect trustees for Places 1, 3 and 6. The motion to call the election was made by Michael Sowell and seconded by Pete Mancill and passed 7–0.
Trustees also approved an agreement with the San Augustine County Elections Administrator to conduct the Nov. 3 election; Doug Sowell moved the agreement and Michael Sowell seconded before the board approved the item. Separately, the board approved a Regional Purchasing Cooperative Resolution by motion of Michael Sowell, seconded by Micha Miller, to participate in cooperative procurement.
