Following a closed session that included consultation on a possible taxable value limitation on eligible property, the Anderson-Shiro CISD Board of Trustees voted to hire outside financial and legal advisers.
Trustee Hershel Perry III moved to approve a financial consulting agreement with Moak Casey related to an application on taxable value limitation on eligible property; Trustee Brandon Novosad seconded. The motion carried 6–0, with Trustee Rodney Floyd recorded as abstaining. The board then approved a legal services agreement with Walsh Gallegos Kyle Robinson & De Los Santos, P.C., on the same matter; the motion (moved by Hershel Perry III, seconded by Kary Borski) carried 6–0 with Trustee Floyd abstaining. The minutes state the board convened closed session under Tex. Gov't Code Sections 551.071, 551.074, 551.087 and 551.129 before making these approvals.
