After early failure, board approves design services and bids for tennis-court reconstruction

The board approved a resolution to secure professional design and consulting services for tennis-court repairs and later authorized advertisement of bid specifications to solicit contractors for the repairs; both motions passed unanimously.
District staff said they will document defects during deconstruction with photos and video and will involve the original design architect in corrective plans. The board asked administrators to minimize disruption to athletes' seasons; staff said alternate practice space (parking lot and practice fields) will be used while courts are replaced and that the replacement schedule will be weather-dependent.
The tennis-court design work will be followed by separate procurement steps for construction; the board also approved related pavement and parking improvements on the same agenda.
