The Salary Board convened immediately after the commissioners' meeting and voted to revise section III.D (Annual Increases) of the County Pay & Promotion Policy. Commissioner Robert J. Snyder moved the revision that sets annual increases as discretionary, ranging from 1% to 3%, and lists factors to consider (job evaluation, supervisor recommendation, budget considerations, and the federal cost‑of‑living index); Commissioner Kline seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The revised policy also states no annual increase shall be given to a current employee who has received a rate increase in the last 30 days, and affirms that annual increases are not guaranteed. The Salary Board adjourned at 10:25 a.m.; minutes were signed by Chief Clerk Lynette Greathouse.
