Center ISD SHAC: district results below state average; CHS will run youth tobacco survey Dec. 17

The Center Independent School District School Health Advisory Council reviewed results of the February 11, 2025 Texas Youth Tobacco Survey and was told district rates were below the state average.
Lindsay Montario, RN and CISD RN coordinator, told members that "the report shows CISD students below the State average and nothing out of the ordinary." District staff said the results do not indicate an immediate concern requiring new districtwide interventions.
Center High School is scheduled to administer the 2025–2026 Texas Youth Tobacco Survey on December 17, 2025. District staff sent parent opt-out permission slips via ParentSquare in advance of the survey.
