The district used 169 substitutes in August, which he said was 85 fewer than the prior year. Henson also said that several students and staff had been affected by COVID, strep and the flu. He noted there are nine open positions the district will not fill to reduce the deficit and that F.L. Moffett Primary is experiencing a recurring leak that Berry and Clay have been contacted to repair.
