Center ISD leaders provided beginning-of-year data at the board meeting on Oct. 8, 2025. Brandy Bennefield presented summary data under agenda item 7 and Interim Superintendent Jake Henson supplied further attendance and enrollment figures.
Henson reported attendance figures of 94.96% for August and 96.3% for September, with first-six-weeks attendance at 95.59%. Enrollment declined slightly from 2,279 in August to 2,268 in September. Henson also reported the district used 203 substitute-teacher days last month and noted the district is operating with 13 fewer staff than budgeted, prompting continued monitoring of open positions.
