The amendment also funds programming and space planning for a potential second-phase renovation of the second floor.
Trustees emphasized the importance of addressing public restrooms and privacy and asked that steering-committee feedback be incorporated into final plans. Staff said exterior work (roof replacement) would begin in the coming weeks and that the bulk of construction for the district-office improvements was planned for calendar year 2027. The board approved the amendment by voice vote.
