Demographer tells Hutto ISD trustees enrollment could top 13,000 within five years

Trustees asked clarifying questions about sensitivity to interest-rate changes and whether a 1% rate shift would materially change projections; Cash noted uncertainty but said lower rates could prompt builders and accelerate household formation.
The presentation informed later discussion about capacity planning, bond timing and priority for a future elementary school. Trustees and their municipal adviser referenced the demographic outlook when weighing bond-issuance timing later in the meeting.
