Wayne County recognizes employees for 10- and 15-year service milestones

The Wayne County Commissioners used part of their Feb. 5 meeting to recognize long-serving staff members.
Transportation Director Joni Stark introduced Roxan Schwartz, Clerk Typist 3, for her 15-year anniversary. Stark praised Schwartz’s ability to adapt to change and remain calm during busy periods; the board thanked her for treating constituents with respect. Ms. Schwartz told the board, "I cannot believe it has been 15 years. I said I am very happy here. I really do enjoy my job and it is a rewarding one."
Treasurer Brian Field introduced Patricia Bendyk, Fiscal Technician, for a 10-year anniversary; Field noted she moved from Human Services and "has been a godsend" to the Treasurer’s office, handling licensing and hotel tax reporting. Commissioners praised Bendyk’s reliability and asked that she continue in the role.
The recognitions were ceremonial and no policy or personnel actions were taken related to the anniversary presentations.
