A local eatery operator told the council she plans to close her storefront on the 23rd of this month and wants to operate a food trailer at the town park on a limited schedule. "I have the eatery in Fountain City right now, and I'm going to be closing, the 23rd of this month," the business owner said, and she asked whether the town allows food trailers to park at the park.
The clerk said she has collected sample vendor ordinances from other municipalities and will forward the best-fit example to the town attorney. The board discussed that Fountain City currently issues a door-to-door vendor permit that does not cover food trucks and that council will need to decide whether to add a fee or adapt existing permit language. No vote was required; staff will prepare draft ordinance language for review at the next meeting.
