Board reorganizes leadership; Jeff Morris elected president, Cody Vest vice president, April Hill secretary

At its May 27 meeting, the Ector ISD Board of Trustees nominated and unanimously approved Jeff Morris as board president, Cody Vest as vice president and April Hill as board secretary following administration of oaths to three trustees.
The Ector ISD Board of Trustees completed a leadership realignment at its regular meeting May 27 at the Administration Building. Jonathon Akins nominated Jeff Morris as Board President; the motion was seconded by Bobby Brownfield and carried 6–0 with Shane Ball absent.
The board later approved nominations for vice president and secretary: Akins nominated Cody Vest for vice president and April Hill for board secretary; both nominations were seconded and carried unanimously. The board also recorded that the official oath was administered for Jeff Morris, Bobby Brownfield and Chris Cantrell earlier in the meeting.
The reorganizational motions were recorded in the minutes with the following roll calls: Shane Ball: Absent; Jonathon Akins: Yea; Bobby Brownfield: Yea; Chris Cantrell: Yea; April Hill: Yea; Jeff Morris: Yea; Cody Vest: Yea. The reorganization completes the board’s officer assignments for the coming year.
