Hancock County commissioners approve routine finance measures, maintenance agreement and reimbursement

The Hancock County Commissioners approved routine fiscal business on Jan. 29, adopting the Jan. 27, 2026 minutes and approving two Warrant Journals after motions from Commissioner William Bateson and second by Commissioner Tim Bechtol; both motions passed unanimously, 3-0. The board also approved a MWCD reimbursement request of $7,020.66.
Clerk Lynn Taylor presented two fund-transfer resolutions: Resolution #72-26 to move $1,381.09 from Indigent Defense Fund #8180 to the General Fund #1001 for December 2025, and Resolution #73-26 to transfer $885.90 from the Housing Trust Fund to the General Fund for the fourth quarter of 2025. Both transfers were approved on motions by Bateson, seconded by Bechtol, with a recorded 3-0 vote. Cindy Land presented Resolution #74-26 authorizing a maintenance agreement for a postage/mailing machine (vendor: IMS of Dayton) at a cost of $3,350.00; that resolution likewise passed 3-0.
