Childress ISD swears in two trustees; board elects officers for coming year

The Childress Independent School District board swore in Alabama Bohannon (Place 4) and Carol Freeman (Place 5) during its May 11 regular meeting at the Childress High School Media Center. President Doug Daniel presented a gift of appreciation to Trustee Matt Stone in recognition of his service.
Trustees then moved to elect officers for the coming year. Motion #6284 nominated Doug Daniel as board president; the motion carried 6-0 with Daniel recorded as abstaining. Motion #6285 nominated Lori Rabe as board secretary; it carried 6-0 with Rabe abstaining. Motion #6286 nominated Leslie Bruce as vice president; it carried 6-0 with Bruce abstaining. The motions and their tallies were recorded in the official minutes.
