Board amends 2025'26 compensation plan to accept prior-school funds for new teacher

Trustees approved an amendment to the 2025'26 compensation plan to account for a teacher who was hired this year with funds incoming from a prior school with CIA. The superintendent described the need for a plan to divert those funds to the district and for a spending plan to be submitted and approved.
"We'd like to amend our compensation plan to do a 100% of those that that we need," the business manager (Speaker 4) explained. The board moved to approve the amendment and the motion passed. The amendment allows the district to accept the incoming funds and incorporate them into the district's approved spending plan under existing procedural reviews.
