Ed Stoner reported to the commissioners that he and local officials had transported donated coats to hurricane victims in North Carolina and described how they were distributed by size on a wall so recipients could select their own coats. "Mr. Stoner thanked Sheriff Carbaugh and Commissioner Kline for collecting the coats that he loaded and took to hurricane victims in North Caroline. He told them that those coats were put out by size along a large wall and in no time, individuals needing coats were able to walk through, find their size and take the coats home with them."
Sheriff William Carbaugh thanked Stoner for making the trip to North Carolina to deliver the coats. The exchange was recorded as part of public comment and did not result in a formal county action; commissioners acknowledged and expressed appreciation for the donation and distribution effort.
