Students, community group honored at Flatonia ISD board meeting

Flatonia ISD recognized four Bulldogs of the Month and awarded the FISD Educational Foundation the Bulldog Pride award for raising more than $250,000 since 2014.
Trustees recognized student achievements and community support at the Sept. 8 Flatonia ISD board meeting.
Elementary Principal Laura Kutac presented Bulldogs of the Month awards to Brylinn Marrs and Barrett Freytag; Kutac said Marrs is "respectful, always gives 100% and is a friend to everyone" and described Freytag as "a kind soul that thinks outside the box and always includes everyone." Secondary Principal Gabe Adamek presented awards to 6th grader Brady Snyder and 11th grader Kevin Ramirez, saying Snyder is "always kind and a friend to everyone" and Ramirez demonstrates an "exceptional work ethic" and leadership.
Mr. Chris Sodek presented the Bulldog Pride award to the FISD Educational Foundation and reported the foundation has raised and donated over a quarter of a million dollars to Flatonia ISD since 2014. The board offered praise for the students and the foundation during the recognitions segment.
