Trustees on April 13 granted Superintendent Chris Sodek authority to collect information about potential upgrades to the football press box, concessions and restrooms.
Sodek told the board the facilities are outdated and said he would like to evaluate whether the restroom facility can be relocated to serve both the football stadium and the Carl Smith Pavilion to improve accessibility. "I would like to see if the restroom facility can be relocated for accessibility to both the football stadium and the Carl Smith Pavilion," Sodek said. The motion to authorize information-gathering passed 6-0.
No construction budget was approved at the meeting; the vote authorized staff to research options and return findings and cost estimates for future action.
