A delegate asked how state conversations compared with national debates, and the DNC vice chair said Washington delegates prioritized "money and politics" this year, including campaign finance reform. "The sort of hottest topic was... campaign finance reform, how candidates are being funded and whatnot," she said.
She added that while national debates include issues such as the Israel-Palestine ceasefire and presidential primary dynamics, Washington's platform discussions reflect the state's immediate priorities and incumbency concerns. The vice chair said those local priorities inform how the party organizes and what it asks delegates to carry forward at the convention.
