Chilton ISD board adopts TASB Policy Update 125

The Chilton ISD Board of Trustees unanimously adopted the (LOCAL) policy revisions recommended in TASB Policy Update 125 at its Sept. 2 meeting. The motion was moved by Trustee Rebecca Maxey and seconded by Trustee James Jones.
The Chilton ISD Board of Trustees on Sept. 2 adopted the (LOCAL) policies recommended by TASB Policy Update 125.
"The Board of Trustees of Chilton I.S.D. Adopts (LOCAL) policies as recommended by TASB Policy Update 125, and revises the District's (LEGAL) policies as include in the update," the minutes record. Trustee Rebecca Maxey moved to adopt the update; Trustee James Jones seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous among members present: six yea votes and one absence (Trustee Emily Rueda).
Board President Rodney Hall called the motion and the vote follows routine adoption practice for policy updates. The update package listed multiple local policy sections (for example, BDAA(LOCAL) on officers and requirements, BDB(LOCAL) on board committees, BDF(LOCAL) on advisory committees, and EI(LOCAL) on academic achievement) as included in the TASB recommendation. The board took the action during the general consent/discussion portion of the agenda and recorded the roll call vote in the minutes.
