Trustees approve elementary library book purchases after 30-day posting

The Flatonia ISD Board approved an elementary library book purchase on March 16 following the district-required public posting. Ashley Grahmann, who led the procurement, said the mandatory 30-day posting ran from February 3, 2026 to March 3, 2026 and that no public comments were received during that period.
"The mandatory 30 day posting required was from February 3, 2026 to March 3, 2026 with no public comments being submitted," Ashley Grahmann said. Grahmann also confirmed the Region 13 librarian participated in compiling the list of titles. Dan Sullivan moved to approve the purchase and Blanca Villanueva seconded; the board voted 5–0 to approve.
