Flatonia ISD board adopts 2026–27 calendar; early-dismissal times set

The Flatonia ISD Board of Trustees voted 5–0 to approve the 2026–2027 district calendar at its March 16 meeting after the District Site Based Committee developed a draft and posted it for public comment over spring break. Superintendent staff said two public comments were received and those were considered by the committee before the board vote.
Robin Branecky told trustees that the calendar had been posted for comment during Spring Break and said, "Due to meeting required state minutes all early dismissals will be at 1:30 p.m." LaVerne Dornak moved to approve the calendar and Christina Manzano seconded; the vote was recorded 5–0. The calendar will guide instructional and operational scheduling for the 2026–27 school year.
