Flatonia ISD board approves consent agenda, new bank signature card and budget items

The Flatonia Independent School District Board of Trustees approved its consent agenda on March 16, 2026, including the February 12 meeting minutes, February financial reports and Budget Amendment (2025 Construction Pay Apps #2). Business Manager Rodney Stryk explained the district recently opened additional accounts to capture interest and that signature cards are required to activate them.
"The district has recently opened up a few more accounts based on amount of interest earned," Rodney Stryk said when explaining the need for new signature cards at Fayette Savings Bank. Blanca Villanueva moved to approve the consent agenda and Dan Sullivan seconded; the motion passed 5–0. The board recorded yea votes from Tim Rowell, Christina Manzano, Dan Sullivan, LaVerne Dornak and Blanca Villanueva with Jessica Morrill and Ashley Beeman absent.
The board also separately approved a signature card naming the board president, superintendent and business manager as signatories so the new accounts could be activated. The approvals keep the district on schedule for construction-related payments and routine fiscal management.
