Flatonia ISD holds ESSA public hearing; federal funds about $150,000 annually, official says

Robin Branecky, Flatonia ISD's Federal Programs Director, presented the district's Every Student Succeeds Act consolidated federal grant during a public hearing and said "the district receives approximately $150,000.00 from ESSA funds each year," covering Title I, II, III and IV programs. Branecky told trustees two public comments were submitted during the mandatory posting period regarding funding and special education.
Pastor Tim Rowell opened and closed the hearing between 5:31 p.m. and 5:34 p.m.; Branecky said the allocation is apportioned to district needs and reported there has been "no change for several years" in the total amount. The public hearing was informational and no action was taken during the meeting.
