Flatonia ISD sets May 2, 2026 trustee election, will contract with Fayette County for administration

At its Jan. 12 meeting, the Flatonia ISD Board of Trustees voted to call the district's trustee election for Places 4 and 5 on May 2, 2026. Superintendent Chris Sodek explained the timeline and rationale for placing the election on the May ballot.
Trustee Jessica Morrill moved to call the election and the motion passed 6–0. The board also approved authorizing the district to contract with the Fayette County Elections Administrator to conduct portions of the election, a move the superintendent said would combine resources and costs for election administration.
