Ferris ISD authorizes disposal of surplus property and approves insurance deductible for facility damage

The Ferris ISD Board of Trustees voted on July 21 to declare certain district property surplus and authorized the superintendent or his designee to dispose of that property by auction or other methods permitted by Texas law. Hershana Rouwtt moved approval; Fred Fuentes seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
In a related facilities and finance action, the board approved payment of the TASB insurance deductible and necessary expenses to address facilities damage at the high school and high school gym. Hershana Rouwtt moved the insurance-related motion and Billinda Longino seconded; the board again voted unanimously to authorize the expenses.
