The Ferris Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved a multi-item consent agenda at its Aug. 20 meeting, clearing previous minutes, the check payment list, board financial reports, purchases budgeted over $50,000 and budget amendments.
Trustee Lee Longino moved to approve the consent agenda, and Trustee Nancy Salmon seconded; the motion carried unanimously. The board then considered and approved several routine but notable items individually, also by unanimous votes.
Trustees approved eContracts with Region 10 Education Service Center for district services; authorized certified TTESS appraisers to support teacher evaluation; and adopted the Ferris ISD 2024–2025 Gifted and Talented Handbook. The board also authorized Region 20’s payroll processing team to upload the EFT payroll file monthly. Each action was moved and seconded by trustees and carried without dissent.
The approvals keep recurring administrative, instructional and payroll processes in place as the district begins the 2024–25 school year. No tax-rate changes or staff hirings were recorded as part of the consent votes in the public minutes.
