Fabens ISD trustees voted 7–0 to approve a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Motivation, Education and Training (MET) during the Feb. 18 meeting. Assistant Superintendent Manuel Aldaco introduced MET representatives Rogelio Martinez and Julieta Godinez, who reviewed service offerings and answered board questions before the board took the motion to approve.
Trustee Orlando Flores moved to approve the MOU and Trustee Angel Ornelas seconded; the board recorded a unanimous vote. The MOU is intended to provide expanded access to services and opportunities for migrant families in the district, as described by MET during the presentation.
