The Edna ISD Board of Trustees approved multiple Lone Star Governance items related to teacher retention, monitoring and governance constraints at its Aug. 18 meeting.
Trustee Kris Crenshaw moved and Trustee Dustin Kocian seconded approval of Lone Star Governance SCPM 4.1 (Teacher Retention) and the related district accountability review; the motion passed 5-0. The board separately approved a review of the prior month's Lone Star Governance work and the 2025-26 monitoring calendar. "Resolution 526653 Motion made by Mr. Kocian and seconded by Mr. Miller to approve review of last month's Lone Star Governance work- Monday, July 21, 2025. Total Public meeting time= 39 min, Total LSG time = 22 min, Total % of LSG time=56.41%. For: 5 Against: 0," the minutes record.
The board also adopted Board Constraints and LSG Superintendent Constraints for 2025-26 and approved Lone Star Governance Goals 1-5 and associated GPMs. Each item passed unanimously, per the minutes.
