The Forney ISD Board of Trustees acknowledged the resignation of Board Secretary Becky Dobbs at the May 26 meeting and thanked her for her service. Dobbs nominated Kathy Green to fill the vacancy; Board Vice President Chad Johnson moved to appoint Green and Board Member Scott Regan seconded the motion. The minutes record the appointment carried with four votes in favor and zero against; two members were absent.
Following the appointment, certificates of election were presented and Lynnette Spence administered the oath of office to newly elected board members Greg Pharris and Scott Regan and to appointee Kathy Green. Superintendent Dr. Justin Terry then presided over a reorganization vote: Board Member Michael Idemudia moved to approve a slate of officers for 2026–2027 — Greg Pharris as president, Chad Johnson as vice president and Katrina Burkhalter as secretary — and the board approved the slate 5–0.
