Residents ask about Cold Spring Road trail; trustees say preliminary plans expected this winter

Steve Medici, a member of the Cold Spring Point Association, said his community expects questions at an upcoming annual meeting about whether a trail, parking or an ADA-accessible boardwalk will be constructed on land managed by the trustees off Cold Spring Road.
Trustees said the project is in preliminary stages, consultants are updating wetlands markings, and they hope to have preliminary plans over the winter. A trustee asked neighborhood representatives to exchange contact information so the trustees can keep them informed as plans advance.
Trustees emphasized that at present there are no finalized plans and invited the association to provide feedback when preliminary documents are ready. The trustees said any final design or parking addition would go through appropriate review and public notice processes before implementation.
