The CHISUM ISD Board of Trustees reorganized board leadership at the May 12, 2026 meeting. Trustee James Weems moved—and Trustee Larry Rickman seconded—a reorganization slate naming Travis Ball as President, Judd Oats as Vice-President, James Weems as Secretary and Dashielle Floyd as Alternate Secretary. Trustees present voted in favor and one member was recorded absent.
The reorganization was formalized by a roll-call vote after the meeting returned from recess. The motion appears on the record as a single reorganizational motion that passed with the trustees present voting to appoint the officers as listed.
"Motion by JAMES WEEMS. Seconded by LARRY RICKMAN to reorganize The Board of Trustees as follows: President: TRAVIS BALL Vice-President: JUDD OATS Secretary: JAMES WEEMS Alt Secretary: DASHIELLE FLOYD," the minutes state. The transcript records the vote with all present trustees (except the recorded absence) voting "For."
